My 5 year old sent an email to me at work. She reads well for her age. When she writes words she isn't confident with yet she'll go around the house and find birthday cards, cereal boxes and toys that has the words she needs and copy the words from her sources to make her message.
My email read, "Hi Daddy. Wii will see you at the end of the day. Love."
Note that "we" is spelled "Wii".

This is absolutely fascinating. As soon as I read it, I immediatley thought back to determine whether I did anything similar in my youth. I suspect that I did, but not at age 5. I recall listening to commercials on TV to learn grammar. Can not do that today.
Kids are very resourceful...very cute. :-)
I love this little email she sent you. I am amazed that for a 5 year old she got almost every spelling right and you are pointing out the one little "we" that she missed :)
You know the kids of today are part of the digital generation. Most of us who blog today were born in an era when PCs and the internet wasnt that common place. In fact blogging just started 10 years back!
Imagine what all your daughter will be doing when she grows up!
